Engineered flooring is a versatile and durable flooring option that combines the beauty of natural wood with enhanced stability. Unlike solid hardwood, engineered flooring is constructed with multiple layers of wood, with a top layer of real hardwood and a core of high-density plywood or fiberboard. This layered design makes it more resistant to moisture, temperature changes, and warping, making it ideal for areas like basements or over radiant heating systems. 1. Assembled Cabinet orders MUST be paid in full prior to assembly.
2. $35 processing fee for each returned check.
3. YD Hardwood Floors offers a free, courtesy design service on measurements or incorrect cabinet sizes provided by the customer.
4. YD Hardwoods Floors holds no responsibility for any installation mistakes unless services were provided by us or items are manufacturer defective.
5. Please inspect all products at the time of signing the freight bill. DO NOT sign for any damaged products, damage claims CANNOT be filed after signed with no damage report.
6. Please check out the color, grain, knots, mineral streaks, and floss level of floors before leaving the warehouse.
7. Upon the competition of installation, YD Hardwoods Floors holds responsibility for fixing issues that occurred within ONE WEEK.
8. All remaining balances must be cleared within TWO WEEKS after installation is completed, otherwise, YD Hardwoods Floors are authorized to charge on the customer account.
9. Prior to the commencement of any installation. It is required to make a 70% deposit.
1. There is a 25% restocking fee on all return materials.
2. NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES ON ASSEMBLED CABINETS.
3. Final sale items are not returnable. Special orders (flooring, stain, molding, stair nosing) are not returnable.
4. Open boxes are not returnable.

YD Hardwood Floors USA Inc. warrants that its engineered wood floors in its original manufactured state will be free from defects in assembly, mill, grade and finish. If, after you’ve opened your flooring carton, you find the flooring quality to be unacceptable, return the carton to the retailer or original distributor within thirty (30) days of purchase for replacement.
Due to the natural content of engineered wood, slight color variations are expected. Engineered wood flooring must acclimate for 2 days on the premises in which the floor will be installed. DO NOT OPEN CARTONS UNTIL READY TO INSTALL. All moisture levels must be met on the sub-flooring (must not exceed higher than 12% on a wood substrate and must not exceed 3 pounds per thousand on concrete - use a Calcium Chloride test). YD Hardwood Floors USA Inc.’s warranty may cover a one-time replacement for moisture-related issues when a vinyl sheet is installed properly as per the vinyl sheet manufacturer’s installation instructions.
YD Hardwood Floors USA Inc. warrants when properly installed by a professional installer and maintained by the purchaser, its engineered wood floor will not buckle, cup or warp for a period of twenty-five (25) years warranty for residential from the date of purchase. Installation & Maintenance Instructions are provided by YD Hardwood Floors USA Inc. and warrants that in normal residential use, its surface Wear Layer will not wear through or separate for a period of fifteen (15) years from the date of purchase.
LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
The following list contains items or situations that are not covered under this warranty:
- Natural characteristics like color variations, grain variations, mineral streaks, knots and others
- Scratches from damages from sands, grits and/or debris from construction, accidents, abuse, misuse, lack of or insufficient leg protectors, improper protection while moving furniture or heavy objects, improper maintenance, pet claws, nails and other abrasives.
- Damages as a result of acts of God.
- Alterations or modifications of the original manufactured products, or not following NWFA installation guidelines.
- Water damages from pipes leaking, broken plumbing, standing water and spillage of fluids.
- Change of shading as a result of exposure to or hidden from direct or indirect sunlight.
- Damages from not using recommended cleansers for UV polyurethane-finished and oil-finished engineered hardwood flooring, resulting in a damaged or dull finish.
- Delamination as a result of excessive moisture in the surrounding environment and/or substrates.
- Insect infestation. This warranty does not cover any insect infestation after the product has left the factory.
- Downgraded Product. It does not apply to any products designated or sold as B-grade or Cabin grade, which is sold “as is”.
- Wood can be photosensitive and will change color as they age or are exposed to UV light. As this is a natural occurring phenomenon, it is NOT considered a material defects and is excluded from coverage under the provisions of YD Hardwood Floors Limited Warranty. You can minimize fading and discoloration by: 1) Avoiding rubber backed mats that may discolor your floor; 2) change the location of your rugs periodically. Rearrange more frequently if they are placed in front of doors and windows; 3) Use light filtering window treatments (i.e. blinds, drapes, window film) that will help prevent sunlight exposure; and 4) rearrange furniture seasonally to allow the flooring to darken and age uniformly.
Please note: If completing a flooring extension or board replacement after the original installation has been down for a period of time, the new flooring will have a lighter appearance. As the material is exposed to natural light, it should eventually blend in with the surrounding areas. However, due to the age of your flooring, surface wear (and/or) exposure to UV light, YD Hardwood Floors cannot guarantee replacement flooring will be a 100% match to your existing products.
Remember that color variation is to be expected with natural products. However, should an individual be doubtful as to appearance or dimension the installer should not use this piece.
YD Hardwood Floors disclaims liability for incidental or consequential damages, including any implied warranty of merchantability, or warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, with respect to this product. Repair, refinish or replacement of flooring material is the sole remedy. This warranty does not include the cost of labor if the flooring is installed by other than professional installers. This is the complete and exclusive statements of the warranty, and is in lieu of all other expressed and/or statutory warranties. Some states do not allow the exclusion of limitation of rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
TO FILE A CLAIM
Any claim for warranty must be made in writing within 30 days after it has been detected. Please direct all claims to the retailer where it was bought. YD Hardwood Floors reserves the right to have a representative to inspect the site and product, and to be involved in the final evaluation.
